Welcome New Staff
If you’ve visited the shelter in the past few months, you’ve probably noticed some new faces. (If you haven’t, please seek them out to say hello!) We recently said goodbye to two long-term staff, Constance Stanford and Oriana Osborn. Although we were sad to see them go, we are excited about the skills the new staff members bring to the team.
Shelter Coordinator—Richard Horne: Richard brings a unique blend of experience to his position as shelter coordinator. He has a background both in Property Management and in Social Services, having worked as a commercial and residential building manager, as well as a case manager and employment specialist for the State of Washington and Volunteers of America.
Family Resource Advocate—TN Harris: Before joining our team, TN served in the Peace Corps in Malawi, working on community development and AIDS education projects, and as an Americorps VISTA on the West side of Chicago, pairing middle school students with mentors for career development. TN’s broad perspective has been an asset to the shelter team.
