The Children’s Program
About 60% of all the individuals we serve each year are children (18 years and below). This means that any given year, we serve between 180 – 210 children collectively at our various shelter sites.
The Children’s Program is overseen by our Child & Family Advocate, and aims to minimize the negative impact of homelessness on families by: helping families get kids registered for school, providing parenting and child welfare resources, organizing educational and recreational activities, and more!
A large part of the Children’s Program is to meet the needs of children’s school goals at our shelter locations.
I am always a cheerleader for school and try to promote the love of learning.
I’m so impressed by Interfaith’s mission and work, and am grateful to be able to fill in the gaps.
As a volunteer and someone who was involved in the school system, I help families navigate school needs and connect them with community activities.
